With friends: Create a game, copy the invitation link and share it. The other player joins as Black. Your player token is saved in this browser so you can continue after reloading.
Computer: Before starting, choose Easy, Medium, Hard or Very hard. Easy considers its own move and plays less precisely. Medium also considers your reply. Hard searches up to three half-moves ahead. Very hard searches progressively up to six half-moves ahead, taking up to about ten seconds per move. When time runs out, the last completed search depth is used. The level stays fixed during the game. Your colour is chosen randomly for each new game. White moves first, so the computer may start. Both modes require an internet connection to the chess server.

Castling: Select the king, then its destination two squares towards the rook, or select the rook itself. Both pieces move together if castling is legal.
Castling, en passant and pawn promotion are checked automatically. Stalemate, insufficient material, threefold repetition and the fifty-move rule automatically end the game in a draw here.
As an app: Choose “Install app” in your browser. On iPhone: Share → Add to Home Screen. An offline page appears without a connection; your online game stays saved on the server.
